Camp 15 Waterloo
About Us
The Ritual of the Calling of an Engineer is administered by a body called The Corporation of the Seven Wardens Inc. Seven past-presidents of the Engineering Institute of Canada in 1922 were the original seven Wardens. The Corporation is responsible for administering and maintaining the Ritual and in order to do so creates Camps in various locations in Canada, adjacent to engineering institutions that have accredited programs.
Each year, the Wardens of Camp 15, Waterloo, stage the Ritual ceremony using the facilities of Conestoga College and The University of Waterloo. The Ritual is conducted for all graduating students (candidates) of CEAB-accredited engineering programs as well as for other Candidates who are members of a provincial licensing association. All qualified candidates are invited to accept participation in the Ritual on a voluntary basis. The Camp and the Corporation choose to remain private.
